Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Eve and the last of the presents are wrapped and under the tree. The stockings are stuffed and ready to go. Although the girls are with their dad, Santa still stopped by to drop off a few things for the girls. Mikayla (the oldest) told me yesterday that if Santa came while they were gone I needed to sit on him so he couldn't leave before they came home. I told her I would try. Curtis is bringing the girls to me tomorow so we can spend the afternoon together and go see my family, then I will take them back to his house. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you all have a safe and great Christmas.

Tis the Season

Only a few days left until Christmas and the fact I won't have my girls with me on Christmas morning is starting to make me sad. They are leaving tomorrow until Friday to go spend the Christmas with their dad and his family. At first I was okay with being alone on Christmas but now I'm starting to get sad about them not being here Christmas morning to open presents and see what Santa brought for them. I know that they are young enough I could tell them Christmas was tomorrow morning and they wouldn't know the difference, but then how do I explain that Santa came here tonight and to dad's on another day. I love my girls so much, but I also love my "me" time. I have a list of things I would like to get done this week, but I don't think I will end up getting much done.

My girls are on my bed watching Little Mermaid for the millionth, Madison (the youngest, 3) is trying to sit on my lap and wants to help me type, and Mikayla (oldest, 5) is trying to read what I write and asking a million and one questions. To anyone who is reading have a good night.

Welcome To Blogging

I have read many blogs and have always thought that it would be fun to start this for my girls to someday read. I have finally had enough time to actually sit down and start. Tis the week before Christmas and all my shopping is done, the girls are in bed and I am ready for some me time. My "me" is usually after 8pm till whenever I go to bed, some nights I am in bed by 8:30 and others by 10pm. I am a single mom of to beautiful girls, ages 3 and 5. I work to jobs to support my girls and give them the things in life that I didn't have as I was growing up. I have realized the importance of a schedule with them (and it helps me keep my sanity), it seems like we are always on the go and never have enough time to just sit at home and do absolute nothing. I have so much more to write but I think I need to set up my blog so others may read.
